Electromagnetic brakes can be designed as positive or negative brakes. They are actuated by energising or interrupting the power supply.
These brakes are mainly used in applications with electric drives, such as industrial trucks, industrial vehicles, electric vehicles or in industrial applications.
Knott offers electromagnetic brakes together with its Indian joint venture partner Vortex as Knott-Vortex. Vortex is a specialist in clutches and electromagnetic brakes.
