Our Serbian sister company Knott Autoflex Yug commissioned a new hot-dip galvanizing plant for iron and steel products in Becej in 2020. The plant, with a capacity of 20,000 t per year, is expected to provide employment for 82 workers. 14,000 t are to be sold, and the rest used for the company's own production. Galvanized products from the Knott plant in Becej will be installed in protective fences along highways and roads throughout Serbia, according to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. Knott Autoflex Yug, founded in 2003, carries out more than 90% of the production. The company made an annual turnover of EUR 29.2 million in 2019. The opening ceremony in the new Knott plant in Becej was also attended by Prime Minister of Vojvodina Province Igor Mirovic, President of the Provincial Assembly Istvan Pastor, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Serbia Thomas Schieb, Managing Director and co-owner of Knott Autoflex Hungary H Szabo Sandor, Director of Knott Group Germany Valentin Knott and Mayor of Becej Dragan Tosic.
